Dandelion Productions is an entertainment-booking agency, based in the Washington DC area; engaged in the booking of tours and one-off shows and engagements worldwide, for the select group of artists and entertainers listed here.
We specialize in the best of Jamaican music from Mento, Nyahbinghi, Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae and Dancehall to Gospel, representing some of the very best artists in the business. We also represent a number of special, world-class artists from various other genres, including Calypso, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Rock, Country, Blue Grass and Hip Hop etc.
In addition to singers and players of instruments, we represent a select group of unique, world-class entertainers and performers, including limbo-dancers, acrobats, actors and Steel Pan players etc, for a full Caribbean-style floor-show, suitable for casinos and resorts worldwide.
The company was founded in 1997 by Roy McPherson, an experienced business administrator, accountant and music-business professional, who studied the booking business for 18 months with George Michailow at Fastlane International Agency in Washington, DC, prior to venturing out on his own.
For over a decade hence, the company exclusively booked dozens of successful U.S. cross-country tours, for several international Reggae groups, including the Itals, the Meditations and Justin Hinds & the Dominoes. During this same time, we also booked dozens of one-off shows and engagements for various local and regional artists throughout the U.S., especially in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
From anniversaries, graduations, weddings, corporate events, colleges, nightclubs, and festivals, we have booked them all successfully. The world is our marketplace and we are here to make the booking experience an hassle-free one for those with whom we do business.
